Bummer. Can’t go after the home inspector because he/she found it. It doesn’t appear that the warranty will cover it according to the verbiage used. But I am not an attorney, and attorneys always write that stuff. Best of luck. I have often heard that buying a warranty on a home is VERY rarely worth the cost. I guess you are having to learn that lesson now. Best wishes on getting that stuff taken care of.

I couldn’t even walk down the coffee aisle at the grocery store during months 2-5. The smell just grossed me out. Devlyn wasn’t allowed to perk until I left for work. It was so odd. Glad you’re doing well and not having too many aversions or nausea.

By “new” I assume you mean “new to you” and not brand new. Worst mistake I made was buying a brand new car. Have you been saving up for a new car? I am a follower of Dave Ramsey, the financial prophet. (haha). He has some great advice on car buying. Check out his channel on YouTube.

I feel your pain, Hope! I noticed the “check oil” light on my Honda (1998) last Thursday night – planning to go to Boone for spring break on Friday! Called my faithful mechanic on Friday AM and he said, “bring it by”, as I knew he would. The call came in at about 10:00 telling me that the head gasket had blown.. He assured me that he could fix it by the end of THIS week… to the tune of about $1000!!! That’s several car payments… but again, as with you, I had no choice! Is it time to fish or cut bait? I’m going to start looking!

As a Mom who cloth diapers, I agree with all of your reasoning. I’m lucky that my day care is happy to use cloth. In terms of the solids poo that comes later, we got a diaper sprayer on sale for Christmas, and it was the best thing EVER! We use it at least once a day, but it allows us not to have to get to up close and personal with dirty diapers…

There is a company called Bona that makes microfiber dust-mop pads and a more “tough” scrubber pad. Works like a Swiffer, but comes with an environmentally friendly spray that you can use on your floors. Better than a broom. The pads are machine washable. Hook-and-Loop to attach to the mop handle. Pretty sweet.

Hope, that’s really great math (from a math teacher, I trust it). Lucky for you being a stay-at-home mom. Very few daycares allow use of cloth diapers, so for working moms we have to buy disposables (or hire a nanny instead of private daycare) – so the cost probably would balance out or maybe even tip in favor of disposables after that payroll! It takes great amounts of discipline to do what you will be doing. Be sure to have some ready before bed, so at 3 in the morning when you’re already SO exhausted you aren’t trying to “make” a diaper ready!
